NHS STROKE AWARENESS

To reinforce the life-saving importance of acting fast when stroke symptoms appear, the NHS set out to create a campaign that would feel urgent, human and impossible to ignore.
Working with Freuds, the campaign was built around real 999 emergency calls from stroke survivors, giving the public rare access to the moment help was sought.
We travelled across the UK to film with each survivor and introduced a two-part narrative structure: first the voice of crisis, then the person behind the call. The reveal transformed raw audio into an emotionally powerful reminder that every minute matters.
By combining authentic emergency recordings with carefully structured storytelling, the film cut through public awareness fatigue and delivered a clear message: if you notice stroke symptoms, call 999 immediately.
