THE BOTTOM LINE
Blue Marine Foundation tasked Atomized Studios with creating a bold, high-impact campaign film to expose the destruction caused by bottom trawling in protected marine areas. We delivered a cinematic, attention-grabbing piece fronted by Stephen Fry and Theo James, using sharp, emotionally charged scripting to make a complex issue clear and urgent.
Our team handled the entire production in-house – from concept development, scripting, and direction to visual effects and post – ensuring a cohesive, polished story with serious stopping power.
The results were extraordinary. The film achieved over 1 million organic views and counting on Blue Marine’s channels, was amplified by high-profile influencers and partner organisations, and reached audiences in over 600,000 additional accounts globally. Media coverage spanned nearly 80 major outlets, with an earned reach of 665 million.
Most importantly, the campaign drove real-world change: just days after launch, the UK Environment Secretary announced plans to ban bottom trawling in 41 offshore marine protected areas.
For us, this is what impact looks like – turning powerful storytelling into meaningful action.
